OfferCoach vs Teal: tracker-first or coaching-first?

Teal and OfferCoach solve different halves of a job search. Teal is organization-first: a tracker for dozens of applications, with a résumé builder and keyword matching attached, excellent when your problem is pipeline chaos. OfferCoach is coaching-first: deep on one application at a time — reproducible requirement scoring, rewrites that can't invent facts, then mock interviews. Many people could reasonably use both; if you must pick one, pick by which problem is actually costing you offers.

Where Teal is genuinely strong

Teal's tracker is the best-known way to keep a 40-application search from dissolving into browser tabs: saved roles, statuses, contacts, and per-application résumé versions in one place, with a generous free tier. If applications are falling through the cracks — follow-ups missed, which-version-did-I-send confusion — that is an organization problem, and a coaching tool does not fix it.

Where OfferCoach goes deeper

Per-application depth. The requirement list is extracted from the JD once and frozen, so your score doesn't drift between checks (we measured 60/55/50 on identical input before building it this way). Experience requirements are parsed as quantity plus subject, so nine years of total work doesn't silently satisfy "5 years of product management". Rewrites pass a fabrication gate that strips unverifiable numbers and asks you instead of guessing. And the loop continues into interview prep: text and voice mock interviews generated from your actual résumé and the actual JD, not a generic question bank.

Honest bottom line

Pipeline chaos → Teal. Applications going out but not converting to interviews, or interviews not converting to offers → that's the conversion problem OfferCoach works on. It has no tracker and doesn't try to be one.
